Does any one know if changing from an original 1995 prostar 190 rudder to a new 197 rudder will increase steering performance? I know they are different shaped so just wondering if it will improve my older '95 in any way?
Thx

I posed that question about a year ago. I think the concensus was to stick with the standard rudder. There was no real performance increase to be gained from the new rudder. Yes, my boat is a '95 Prostar as well.

What do you have in your 95? I only have the 275hp/slot wish I had the Lt1 and slot..."go big"

I am 1:1 Hurst with the standard 275 hp engine. It is still a great slalom machine. Honestly skiing behind new model year PS 197s in tourneys and skiing behind my boat the difference in pull is negligible. Those things just look really awesome.

Agreed. They looks great but I still like and will never out ski my 95 PS.
