Tough to see but... here's my 1985 blue and grey SS. Unfortunately this was a normal occurance for me. Finally figured out why we could go out, but never make it back under our own power. It's good to have friends on the lake (even if they don't have a MC).

This is a 1982 and I did not have anything special done to the engine box. Master Craft was embossed on the rear of the box, but no credit due to me.

I just traded a motorcycle for this boat. I thought it would be a good winter project. If anyone has advice on where to get parts, upholstery, or decals it would be greatly appreciated.

Have any of you ever seen an on board air compressor plumbed into the speedo tubes with toggles to blow debris out of pitot's with a flip of the switch? It works great and you can hear the bubbles coming out of the back as you flip the switches. It was in it when I bought it!http://i1228.photobucket.com/albums/ee443/Masrtercraft/DSCN0119.jpg

I just got done with my custom hot water heater install. It works great with no valving just a dual inlet at the pump for hot and cold. I used a sink sprayer for the shower head. The pump and pressure swith I used can be adjusted to 600 psi. Should be a great water gun with a small nozzle on it. I hooked up an air nozzle when adjusting the pressure switch and it shot about 40 ft!

My wife said, "it is good it has a shower since I will have to live in it soon if I don't come back in the house".;)

If any one wants to see photos I will post them.

No need to find an original pitot, replace with these and you won't need to utilize that onboard compressor either...I do remember those systems being offered back in the day. I'm more than pleased the resistance to clogging that the venturi sytle pitot tube offers.

http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=769B

I put them on my 85 and my friends have now added them after they experienced the better performance in our local, somewhat dirty river...the old style clogged often, whereas the new style has clogged only a couple of times between all the boats we now have using them.

Thanks, I will check it out, I was trying to stay original but I guess it does not really matter. When you say the compressor was offered. Was it offered from Mastercraft?

I love all of these SS boats, although I think there might be another SS thread posted a long while back.

Can someone smarter than me find this older post one and combine these two skiking? By doing this, maybe we can save our government some money.

Here is one on the water with people in front. It's a 78' S&S all silver metalflake. Can anybody tell me if this is an original gelcoat? It is all silvermetalflake from the rub rail down, even under the boat. The guy I bought it from a guy that said it was a custom boat for a trick skier named Scott Peterson or Pederson not really sure. Not that I really care, I love this boat!! I also have a 07' X2, but always take out the 78' S&S.
