I have just purchased a 2010 Prostar 197 TT. I have the stock OJ 4 blade prop that it came with and I am told that the Acme 3 blade 13X14 #1253 is also a great prop for this boat. What are the differences between 3 blade vs 4 blade, rpm, hole shot, top end speed, etc. Does the 4 blade have a softer wake than the 3 blade? Is OJ better than Acme? Please help. thanks.

If you really want to find out, call ACME, give them your CC number and they will send you one for a 30 day trial. If you don't like it, send it back and they will credit your account. That is the only way you will know for sure.

Great boat- given the location I suspect I've skied and driven it (picked it up Wednesday I suspect...)! It is way quicker out of the hole with the ACME... The change is a no brainer or have the stock prop tuned. The stock is a little doggy out of the hole. My 05 had a little prop tweek by a place out of Portsmouth (AccuTech?) and it's significantly quicker.

Great, thanks for the reply. I ran both props this weekend. The Acme 3 blade runs higher rpms at the same speeds at the stock OJ. I did not like that too much. Wake wasn't much different that I noticed when I skied behind it. Any thoughts on top end? Will the stock OJ have a higher top end speed than the Acme? I haven't tried that yet, not that I drive at top end very much?
