looking at buying a wake surfer and was wondering if my 2005 x10 was good enough to surf behind without adding any extra sacks?

thanks ed

This is my youngest son behind our 2004 MariStar 210. About 350 pounds of flesh sitting on the port side but no fat sacs or extra weight. This is 9.5-9.8 mph. We're still experimenting and will add additional weight, but this works pretty well for my recreational-level kids.

I run 400 in the port locker and a few people in the corner. I have the most luck at 10.3 mph.

I have a 2005 Maristar 210 with no ballast, and with a little weight on the one side, and I was able to surf, and I'm a big guy. Now a friend of mine has the X-10 with additional ballast, and the wake is huge.

Yeah, you can do it without extra ballast, but the wave will be much better with added weight. You will most likely learn that you will like the extra weight better!

on my x-10 I fill the ski locker bag and one rear locker, most the time its the drivers rear tank. All my friend are jealous of my surf wake, my buddies x-9 looks like a ripple compared to the x-10. Add a few bodies, put 2 people up front on the side your are surfing and few more in the rear on one side, knee to waist high wave all day long.

The surf wake behind the x10 is awsome. The stock system is fine, but with minor modification.....
