We recently purchased a '96 Maristar 200 and noticed a tendency to
porpoise. I spoke to a dealer and he stated that it was a design
flaw. The fix according to the dealer was 1. ) place weight under the
bow seats, & or 2.) having a 'hook' fabricated on the hull at the stern to
push the nose down. i am copying the reply from MC, they were no help.
Any input? what about a different prop?

Dear Mr. Hild,
I checked with our warranty department and one of our representative's
said he did not know of any design defects on that year. The hook on
the back would correct this problem, but you need to make sure the boat
is evenly weighted.
I hope this helps you with your problem.
Have a great day and let us know if we can be of any additional help.
Sincerely,
