I want to get or put together (preferably buy something pre-made) a good first aid kit for my boat. Any recommendations?

Also, where do you keep it? What do you keep it in to avoid water damage? Do you keep it in the boat at all times or bring it out with you each time? I'd prefer keeping it in the boat to make sure I never forget it, but am concerned the heat would damage some of the adhesives for bandages, etc. Looking for good ideas.

A couple that I thought about...

Sorry if this is a repeat of other threads... tried searching but surprisingly found nothing.

I didn't look thru the first aid kits but a little guide book for First Responder Health Care is always nice to have. I carry one for EMT's in my bunker coat at all times

West Marine has some and I buy a fresh one every 2 years. I keep it in a backpack that stays in the boat. I keep it in front of the driver in the bow storage that goes back under my dash. I also keep my safety flag, tools, and other things in that bag.

Ft. Campbell ... Air Assault!!

also the kit I have is the Weekender Kit.

Not criticizing but I am curious as to why an EMT kit in your bunker coat? Anywhere we take the fire truck there are complete jump kits. We always have an ambulance on scene. My bunker coat pockets are full of tools, flashlights, rope and radio. I don't include sunscreen because it is always on board. On the boat there is only aspirin, antihistamine, and a few pressure dressings for an emergency. My truck has a better kit in it but it is limited too. I would keep a trauma kit but the cost is restrictive and the use is seldom plus it has to be maintained. If there was one piece of equipment I would add to my kit and justify the cost it would be an AED. The thing most people lack is training and the ability to remain calm while taking care of business till qualified help arrives. Not the kit :-) the guidebook, fits behind my radio in my radio pocket! Might be 3x5"

My mistake--pulled a long shift last night and wasn't paying attention to the post. I was really curious as to what an emt kit that fit in a bunker coat or pants pocket would hold. Not the kit :-) the guidebook, fits behind my radio in my radio pocket! Might be 3x5"
