View Full Version : Fuel vent area

I have a 94 prostar 190, with 146 hours on it, it is in beautiful condition. There is one spot where the fuel vent is that is becoming dull and discolored. Im assuming its from the gas overflow. I have thought about buffing it out and then applying a piece of that clear plastic protectant that you see on the some cars. Does anyone have any solutions for this or any other ideas? Thanks.

You can buff it out to get rid of the yellow. My '95 likes to spit fuel out that vent if the tank is 2/3 or more full. I spray on a little shot of goo gone before heading to the water. Then the fuel does not adhere to the hull so I can just wipe away the mess.

By the way, '94 with 146 hours on it! Wow, you really hit the jack pot. That is a very great looking boat.
