My wife and I are looking at getting a headrest DVD player to put in our Accord for our 2 yr old son. I don't know much about them. Can everyone please give their opinion on ones to look at and ones to stay away from? My sister has had two Memorex portable DVD players that quit working after 2-3 months. We can't afford a real expensive one. Thank you for any thoughts/opinions.

Get a nicer portable dvd player. For the money you are going to dish out for a headrest unit you could buy a couple nice portables. There is a ton of advantages to the portable. The headrest units look nice, but all the work that goes into that is not worth it IMO. We use portables with a headrest bag attachment deal and have used it for a couple years. No flaws at all. Good Luck!

What brand portable DVD players? I think I like your idea of using the portable DVD with headrest bag.

We've had 2 of these since Christmas and they work wonderful. I have a 3 year old, 5 year old and 9 year old and they carry them around the house and with them on trips and are hardly easy on them as you can imagine. They've worked great since day one and come with car and AC adapters. Can't beat the price and the picture is pretty good....

Did you pick it just because it was the most expensive one at wal mart? :D
Um, really, I think anyone of them would be fine. I probably would not buy the cheapest one but, I probably wouldn't buy the most expensive one either. I know the one that we use is of the cheapest crap available, and it works fine. My kid has no idea what the difference between 1080p and black and white television is. I could care less what the quality of the picture is on a 9" screen. Just make sure to get some decent headphones for your kid to hear it. Good luck with the buy, you really can't go wrong.

I have had two of the sony's. The first lasted 6 months the sencond only 2 weeks. I now have a Phillips from Best Buy. The picture is better, but I am only 1 month in so we will see if it will last.

Does this one fold to fit in a headrest bag?
