Well, Leroy has the "keg thing erator".
Maybe we can go to his place! :D

Hoosier Bob
07-06-2005, 01:33 AM
Oh yeah, Lexus, maristar, home in Fishers and that Kegerator thing! Priceless. He also owes us. I don't know why but he does. Mag is actually from Ohio. Does this mean he will be banned from the all Hoosierfest. He better figure out how to tie off a slalom rope before he even considers it. All Hoosiers know which end goes to the pylon. My buddy will bring his X-9 and we will have some fun. Slalom the good stuff and tear up the rough stuff. Back flip on the kneeboard is back baby! I have bit it a couple of times though. Still recouping.

OK, see? Mag hasn't even responded.
So be it!!!

Hoosier Bob
07-06-2005, 01:54 AM
Lately he has treated this site like a buring building! He gets on and then gets out real quick! I razz him a lot but we all know the trip isn't gonna work without him. Besides whos gonna know which end of the rope goes to the boat and which end goes to the skier? That is why I have a handle on both ends! :steering: OK, see? Mag hasn't even responded.
So be it!!!

You just getting in Mag?

Carmel, Bob, not Fishers! I'm in CA next two weeks :( I'm open any Friday starting 7/29 for Hoosierfest, Midwest Reunion, ....

During a day like that my lake is ok, but we would want a real ski boat there also I think (Maristar 230 is good for boarding, big wave for skiing). I'm willing to travel also.

stevo137
07-06-2005, 07:45 PM
Sounds good. It's about 2.5 hrs for me Leroy. Can we use your boat for skiing wildman Bob?
At least it's not raining and in the 40's like the last time you guys wanted to get together!

If we are waiting until late July we will put both boats in the water. That being the X-9 and the 190. My buddy will have his X-9 in Cumberland until the 18th or so. I learned to wakeskate today and it was as much fun as I have had in the water in a long time. I am buying one now. Wow that was cool. Butter slides in and out and all over the wake! Much more pure than the wakeboard and tons of fun! Sorry Leroy Carmel will do just fine. Can't wait! We will have tons of crap to ski on. May even bring out the paddle and the cooler ski! Hoosier Master Fest 05' 190-X-9! :toast:

I felt it was necessary to jump in since I am a Hoosier; both by blood and tradition. I will be unable to make any attendance this summer since my family and I are currently in the process of relocating to Bloomington (the heart of Hoosier land). We just bought a new house and I will be starting a new job in the beginning of August. I want you all to know that my Hoosier heart will be with ya'll.

Hope my life is working well for you Smitty!

I'm willing to travel, but we can also ski Morse say early Friday, and have grill at my house in the afternoon after skiing. Need to identify a good Friday starting 7/29.

What is the latest that we can get on some decent water?
I could get there by 10 am range.

I just spent three days in Bloomington last week. It's always a nice return visit. I was amazed at the number of boats heading to and from Monroe Lake, only saw one MC though, it was heading south on 37 just as I was leaving town. The corn looked good.

There is more than corn in Indiana!
We are having a severe drought in our area and the crops are suffering.
My boat is barely clearing my lift. Lake level is very low.

Leroy
07-11-2005, 03:26 PM
Yes Steve, it was already bad when it didn't rain out the Indy 500! June looked like August everything is so dry.

On Morse I bet I see 50 or more MC's around the shore and out. I'm worried this year as my lake has a history of dropping low in the fall quickly.

stevo137
07-11-2005, 03:50 PM
Leroy, do you give any business to Pinecrest in Fishers?
I believe that they are the only MC dealer in your area.
I visited the facility last year when I was looking for another boat.

Leroy

Steve; Yes, that is where I go always. Very good dealer from the limited stuff I have done with them.

How far is that from your place? I wouldn't mind stopping by and say hi to Mike. I bought my first MC from him.

Leroy

Around 30 minutes from my house. Not far, especially for a good MC dealer (which almost all are)!

Hey fellow Hoosiers; had a great morning skiing and boarding with Hoosier Bob and his cousin! Water was glass and warm until the rain came! You gotta land the back flip on the kneeboard next time Bob!

Can't reserve myself to any date at this time. The "Summer of Smitty" is winding down and we are moving to B-town in 2 weeks. We are in the middle of packing the house for the move. This Hoosier will be there in spirit.

Leroy,
This lift and slip are great. I still have to take some pictures for you. We went out on the lake to watch the fireworks on the 4th. They sucked. 15 minutes of works and no finale.

Leroy
07-27-2005, 06:46 PM
Smitty; If the trip had been < 1 hour I would still be there. Glad it's working out for you. During the week the water is nice, if you are able to get out. We never saw the fireworks, too bad they stunk.

I haven't been out since the rain but I'm sure it helped.
It didn't rain all weekend but steady since Monday.
As of Sunday, it was only up to my knees by my lift.
The lake is in great shape and I am still able to use my lift but my fins barely clear.
I'll let you know if I go out there Friday evening.

Bump to top, was out for another 6AM ski trip with Bob on Geist this morning! Man love the wake behind his PS190! You guys don't know what a ski animal he is also!

We need to finalize the location and which boats. Again, I'm on Morse, but willing to tow to Geist. I'll see how the Morse looks tomorrow at 6AM. I know on the weekend at 6AM you will be there with 4-6 boarders.

Today was wake day behind my buddies 02' X-9. Wow what a nice ride. Slalom is not bad either but load up the sacks and it's like hitting a wall! Never had takeoff hurt as bad as the landing! It sends you! The flip is a little harder behind the 190 but not bad. I still have a lot of trouble holding the rope at landing (pops out). I had not done this trick for almost 17 years!nice shots....what boat is that behind?

Stevo; Too bad to hear you are out. We are going out during the week if you are passing through and want to get out for a 6AM ride! Next year we need to think about Lake Monroe as there is good camping on the lake at Payne Town, plus Smitty is there!

Who is in for Hoosier Fest? Jeff, Mag, Lake Tippy, Smitty, others? Will be a combination of Lake Morse and Geist. Been testing to see, but I don't think one will be better Friday afternoon vs Saturday morning, but I have had better water on Geist this year later and on weekends.

Erk, ever hear of Cale Burdick? Probably a stupid question. I have videos of him runnin' around in my 74' SN when he was 4 or 5. His parents and I used to ski the White River here in Indianapolis almost daily. Rick, Cindy, Bret and Cale Burdick. Cindy was at one time regional in slalom. Rick is a awesome footer and I am sure Bret is equally adept. Just funny how kids grow up so fast! I have not seen them in years. Have fun at practice. :toast:

This a.m. was brutal! Perfect weather and maybe even a little warm. Get to the lake and find hardly anyone put in. Get to the water and find more slalom boats than I have ever seen out! Weather goes bad and begins to poor. Slalomed through a strobe light for the next 45 minutes. I can only blink so fast. Rain leaves but so have the water wasters. Next 2 hours are pure glass and some light rain. Still drying out but man was it worth it. I had time to dial in the new ski and it worked flawlessly. Take care all! A nice day has been logged!

The ole pony was ridden very hard and is in the barn very wet. Soaked everything. I do not enjoy skiing in the rain but the water was perfect. Third was a third so cousin Dave and I had our share of most of the runs. I am still soaked as I just finished putting the MC to bed. I like the 541 Acme but it is diferent. Much more top and bottom and seems the same in between. Funny noises throughout. Much better in turns than the OJ four 13x13. In all fairness I would have gone OJ but all I could find CNC was splined. OJ is the name I remember since 74 (9 years old) but I did not see an offering for the 93'. Good job to Acme for recognizing the opening! Long winded as always, Hoosier! :twocents:

Yeah, Freeman is an ocean on the weekends. The seawalls don't help much either. There are probably only a few good spots on the entire lake where you can get some good runs in. It roughs up quick. We usually hit the lake by day break, but even then you can't beat the fishermen.

Not bad, just under a 2 hour drive for me...I dunno if I can make it, but if I get a wild hair up my arse, I may show up...
Please feel free to Mike. I'll PM my cell number.

Edit,
Based on the PM's that I have received, it doesn't look like good timing for anyone but Erk.
I am cancelling and we'll just give it a try some other time...
Erk, we should still keep an eye on the weather and maybe when I'm working in your area again we could give it a try.

Erk, I am going to be out all day Wednesday! Stevo137 has convinced me to ski rather than travel! If you are near Indy you are welcome. I would love to have gone to Stevo's but I only had the one day available. That being said I did not want to drive the 5 hours there and back. I have buddies here that are available every Wednesday. Let me know and we can have an X-9 and 190 in the water. :D QUOTE=erkoehler]sounds like a plan....[/QUOTE]

HoosierBob,

Whereabouts you in Indy?
I am up by Lafayette. Not a bad drive for me. I could maybe head down your way if you like. I don't do much of anything but foot here lately, but I'm a helluva boat driver. My cousin may be interested in heading your way. He's in Shelbyville and a pretty good wakeboarder.
Let me know where and when Wednesday, we/I may be able to swing it.

Give me a PM and I will give you my number. So far it is just the 190 for Wed. Jay and his X-9 are working! You are welcome to head down. If you both can make it I will make sure we have plenty of ski time. :toast: Northeast side Oaklandon near Geist.HoosierBob,

Keep in touch over the winter. I am installing my heater and may think about a shower. Great news on the ski as you are ready to move to a more aggressive ski. Did you tell her how much a new ski is? I have not winterized yet but may soon. Now that it is snowing the season is over. May get out for a cruise though. Give me a yell and we'll go have a beer or six.

No she doesn't know what a ski costs, but probably ok. I may still find something on ebay. This was on Wiley's.

Special Purchase! $329
2004 O'Brien Verdict 67'' with Wiley's double boot

Only a few left!

Cosmetic blemish 67'' only - Double Boots (or rear toe plate)

All new for 2004. The Verdict has all of the features you demand from a performance ski. The Verdict features a full concave bottom and a hybrid carbon / fiberglass construction for the quick response asked for by the high end skier. These skis are very limited, so when they're gone, they're gone! Sizes available: 67'' only.

Be careful I bought my ski on Ebay from a company out of Seattle, WA. No problems with the ski but investigators figured out the credit card fraud I went thru this summer traced back to that shop.

Dont "own" it anymore. Guy who did it is in jail but not for what he did to me. They basically slapped him on the hand for that but he got nailed for breaking his probation on another charge he apparently had. The finance guy at the dealership got fired and bellied up to a felony, think he got some jail time. The dealership called me a while back to apologize again...........

Still waiting for all the credit bureaus to pull this crap off my credit report, 1 has, 2 hasn't.

Hey Guys,
We should get together sometime in Jan. or Feb. in Indy. Maybe dinner and then have a few at the Slippery Noodle bar or something. Then we could all crash at Leroys fine place of residence. (Just kiddin' leroy). ;)
I think that wives included would be nice...

Take care! :D

Yes, one of the best in Indy, been there for years. Always 3-4 differnt bands playing, and it's close to Conseco Fieldhouse.

I agree Leroy! That would be a very cool evening. After Christmas $ are gone and the till is re-filled I say it is a go! We should look and find an off game (seats together). No bad seats at Conseco so price should be reasonable. Maybe one of my customers can come through.
