prostar 190 with a new rebuild. Holley carb new rebuild. The boat is new to me. Although I did all this work. My question is when I start the boat both hot and cold I have to pump the fuel 2 times every time or else it winds out. Is this standard? What do you think might be wrong?? Any ideas??

Accelerator pump working good? I have to pump mine two times when the boat is cold but not on hot restarts. I really don't know if having to pump the throttle is a bad thing. I have had carburetor engines forever and they all had their own starting nuances. Pump once --rub your left ear---spit---count to three---turn key and it starts. Do anything different and it floods. You can always check your plugs and see if your engine is lean even though pulling plugs is a pain on my prostar.
