That boat looks fantastic. Sounds like there is a restoration story behind the boat.

this is what she looked like the day i bought her.....only 486 hours on the boat..gas tank full of water and gas jelly,,,burnt up exhaust hull fittings,,,clogged up risers,,,chewed up raw water impeller,,,over filled with oil ?????,,,,two differant sized tires and wheels,,,and a badly marred up gelcoat
bought the boat from a bank that had repo'd it..been sitting for 6 months.. came with a 4 blade prop and skylon pole..and it had the points change to electronic ignition

our lake is FULL of Mastercraft boats..and the response it gets when we take it out is overwhelming!! i never knew these boats were so popular! we were wakeboarding one day and just as the wife was getting ready to hit the throttle to pull me up a nice x-boat pulls up and starts taking pictures of my boat

Awesome boat! Yours is the same color and year as mine. I'm very slowly bringing her back. All the engine work is done. In the process of cleaning out the gas tank and redoing the teak. I need to remove the oxidation and redo the carpet and interior and the trailer needs to be redone. Great job bringing her! Now become a TT memeber instead of a guest and enjoy all the people and knowledge on here.

Nice job!! I have an 84 that is great shape too. I am seriously considering a 197 next year, but may also keep the 84 because I can't bear to part with it.

Nice boat. I have an 84 S&S. I get the same response once in a while with the pict's gig, ususally from someone with a MC. The only boat I'd EVER trade mine for is a 2003 35th S&S, but I hear there not too many of them.

when i got the boat in the water for the first time ....it almost sank....the exhaust thru hull fitting was melted from being run with no water at some time in the recent past...as long as it was running of course there was pressure in the exhaust to keep the water out...but when i shut it off about 50 yards from the ramp it very quickly took on water....was almost to heavy to pull up the ramp enough to drain it... water was over the back transom..of course i used this as a bargining chip with the bank the next day
upon closer inspection the left riser was found to be corroded to the point that not enough cooling water was passing through...and the raw water impeller must have been a dog toy at one time...this all got replaced...thru hull fittings, marine exhaust tubes, raw water impeller, risers, exhaust manifold gaskets and bolts, exhaust flappers, and engine thermastat ,just because
when all this was fixed and we got it back in the water again it ran like crap....the fuel filter was getting full of jello gas....and this was after i had drained the tank (or so i thought),and refilled it with 93 octane,,i would have to empty the fuel filter every 5 minites of run time that second trip out..what a pain!

the tear down begins..swim platform bolts were wallowed out and leaking..entire boat got wet sanded..lots of fun
had to cut acces holes in the floor to install stainless steel bolts that were welded to plate..then i fiberglassed over that..filled the holes with expanding foam,, sealed it up..never have to do that again!! and still removable from the outside

here is my 2 month old to me 85.
It is all original including interior didn't have cover and was always garaged. I am the third owner
I am missing one star in the back on top, they are not white stars they are beige.
Anyone no where to find them that color?

I have all the original paperwork for the 85 including the hand written beige/blue on the picture.
Anybody need a copy? If there is any interest I could scan them in.
