I have a 1987 Searay with a Merc 260 hp. I have replaced the impellar, waterpump, thermostat, cleaned the poppet balls, and exhaust risers. But still over heats at idle only. HELP

Is it a skiray with an inboard by chance? If so, have you checked the screen on the intake side of the transmission cooler?

I finally found the problem, it is the 3/4 inch hose from the stern drive into the boat. Thanks all
