Trailer carpet reattachment

I did a search but didn't come up with this issue specifically.

What is the best method for reattaching the carpet on the inside of the wheel wells as well as reattaching the black non-slip tape stuff on the tops of the wheel well along with MC ones on the trailer?
I tried carpet glue on the carpet on the inside of the wheel well, but that did not hold.
Any ideas?

I used rubber cement for the wheel well carpet on my '87 trailer. It would work for about 18-24 months at a time. But I never replaced that carpet so it could have been the age that kept it from holding any longer.

Contact cement. Apply to both surfaces, let it get tacky-almost dry. Press carpet on and it should hold great.

3M #77 on a dry clean surface worked like a charm for me.

Shortly after getting my new MC I noticed the carpet on the inside of the wheel wells was pealing off in some places. I then took a dab of :worthy: Gorilla Glue (http://www.gorillaglue.com/) :worthy: squirted it on there and no more problems.
