Its off a 1990 190.. I know some MC's had angles.. Does anyone know if the 1990 190 had one or not? I did a search and couldnt find much... The shaft dosent seem that bad but it wasnt turning too easy when in this Puppy.. The Prop is toast of course... When the wife hit bottom in this thing could she have damaged just the Prop and Strut and not the shaft? Sounds weird but that almost seems the case here.. I am dropping the shaft off to my Step Brothers Machine shop for checking... Any help would be appreciated...

That link will show you just a little of what I have gone through rebuilding the drive train after hitting a log.

Give Cecil a call at http://www.elberts.com/ if he doesn't have what you need then you may have to call a dealer. I wouldn't mess around trying to straighten that strut... it probably is overdue for a new shaft bushing anyways.

Well ... I am not a professional but I would order and replace all three parts , so I could get back on the water ASAP knowing everything was good to go . And if it turns out your shaft is usable you would have a spare if there is a next time hitting the bottom .

With 2 Kids , and a empty wallet I just cant do it... I am going to go ahead and order a new strut though... This thing is definietly bent... BTW, I did stay in a Holiday Inn Express Last Night...

Looked at my 1989. I would say it is straight.

tlr thats bent had mine out over the last winter and it wasnt anything like that, i had a few concerns with vibration so i went through everything, i will say the bolts you show are just like mine when i took them out not sure why but appears they where bent on install for some reason so i renewed them.

I have a 91 I will take a picture tonight and post tomorrow. I haven't looked that close but I think it's straight.
