I am looking at a X-2 2005. I have a 2002 X-7 but want to upgrade to a V-Drive. I love everything about the x2 accept that it does not have an integrated cooler. Does anyway with an x-2 have suggestions or ideas?

Cooler as in an ice chest type thing?

Yes, an ice chest.
Mine has one. It is under the back seat.

it seems like a small area. how much does it hold?
A bag of ice, 4-6 water bottles, a couple of capri-suns and a bag of salami is the most I have had in it so far.

If yours is like mine it is too small to hold much of anything. I use it to hold the "empties". I think the really big coolers are in the hillbilly bass boats :purplaugh

I know that the X-Star has a huge one up in the bow.

I have a 2001 x-star, The same boat as the current x2. When I need more cooler space I remove the front ballast from the ski locker, plug the holes fron the ballast tank hoses, and fill it with 150 cans of beer. That plus ice weighs almost as much as the ballast tank full of water so it doesn't affect the wake for boarding. Hope this helps.
