New (6 weeks) into the Mastercraft ownership family and very happy with the boat.

I have a friend who donated a prop from an old boat he had that we think will work on my boat.

Boat = 1996 ProStar 190 with the Corvette LT1 engine.

Prop = 14X18 3 blade with a 1 1/8 shaft

Needs to be rebuilt to remove some dings, no interest in wasting money or time if the prop isn't going to work.

Boat used mostly for skiing.

Thanks for any advice,

Dan

Do you have the powerslot transmission in your boat?If so the prop will work...

I think you have a damn nice friend.... maybe you should buy him a beer or two for donating a prop....

that prop is for a boat with powerslot transmission. you can determine if your boat has powerslot by reading the tag on the tranny by the tranny dipstick and check the gear ratio. it should be 1.2:1 or 1.25:1 or close to these. if it is 1:1, it is not a powerslot. the powerslot has 1-1/8" shaft and non powerslot is 1" shaft.

I completely agree with this statement, must be a very nice friend for donating a prop! :D I think a 12-pack is more deserved than just one or two...... :toast:
