I own a 2001 X-9 and I need to replace the upholstery on my back seat. What are my options? What are skins? Does Mastercraft still provide them for 2001 boats?

i ordered a replacement set of ski box seats from MC for my '01 prostar 209, but they came in the wrong sizes. I used a local auto/boat shop that does high end car restoration and spec'd heavy duty vinyl. It worked out great when they did the ski box lids and the dog house. They completely rebuilt the rear seat/sun deck so that it does not keep bending.

Second season and it looks new.

I use 303, not armour all, to clean and protect with great success.

Skins are just the vinyl portion of the seats, not the backing or cushion. If you only need to have the back seat done, consider yourself lucky as the vinyl did not last very long for 01 model. MC no longer furnishes the skins. If you're located in Northern Calif, I'd recommend West Coast Canvas out of Rio Vista, they did an excellant job on our 01 X-9.
