Going to Table Rock Lake for vacation in a couple of weeks, my first boating vacation!:)
Staying on the west side of the lake at Big Cedar Lodge;), anything I need to know or look out for? I have heard about a couple of courses on the lake, but not exactly sure where.:o '
Will be on the lake for 7 days, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I've never been to Table Rock, but have been to other flowages on that river system. Water is clear, warm, and deep! I was worried about hitting stuff underwater my first time there, but the water clarity is so good, you can see the difference in water shade when it gets shallow. The reservoirs by me are shallow with less than one foot of visibility! Hope this helps a little. Enjoy your vacation.

Thanks treptowr! That is the kind of info I was hoping for, worried about my underwater gear. I don't have a spare prop.
I have read on here that Ski and Sports on the lake is a good shop. I will be going by there to check it out.
Heard about a slalom course in little cow cove? and by mile marker 6, can any one confirm this and/or know the owner of these courses?
did you think i was giving you bad info:rolleyes:
bbeach ski's the little cow course also. it's half way between indian point and kimberling city on the south side of the lake. there are big signs that show mile makers.
very deep lake. don't freak when you look at your depth guage and it say well over 100 feet deep.

The closest Ski and Sports will be at Cape Fair. They just opened the ski shop on the water this year, but it isn't especially close to Big Cedar. If I recall Big Cedar is on the East side of the lake, over by Branson.
If you stay in the middle of the lake, you will be fine. Tablerock is a man-made lake, and there are lots of trees around the shoreline. You may not see them from a distance, but they will be just below the surface, depending on the water level, which is about a foot above normal pool right now. Other than that, just enjoy! I'll be down there this weekend, and then the next weekend for a week. I'll be on the west side of the lake though over by the Ski and Sports shop. If you decide to venture out, we'll be at Campbell Point this weekend. I've got a 94 Red/White/Blue 205 with a tower. If you spot us, come on over and say hi.

I'm jealous! Been going to Lake of the Ozarks or Table Rock for the last 5-6 years and no vacation for me this summer!
It's an awesome lake. Doesn't have the volume of big boat traffic like some other lakes. On the water services, namely restaurants, are a bit scarce, but the water quality outweighs the lack of food IMO. (Compared to Lake of the Ozarks).
Most of the lake is deep, but be wary of the nice calm little coves that look great to ski in. As mentioned above, lots of them have trees either visible or just under the water. I got one last year, luckily it just skipped off the bottom of the boat to the side of the running gear!

J Norris, Have fun. Like I said in the PM. It gets narrow and calmer down by the Arkansas border too for some decent skiing.

Also, I was looking at google maps and found the cut with a slalom course. Not visible on the map, but it was there when I was there. West of long creek park, which is south of the 86 bridge there is a long finger to the south. Check it out. Even if there is no slalom course, it is a good place to tie off between a couple of trees and swim and hang out!
