So, anyone have the 411 on these bozos? Ordered a speed/temp paddle wheel a while back and nothing, zero, zip, nada. No responses to emails. Did they close their doors?

Wrong Blue Heron Marine. I should have been clear. Its the one in Conn. They must have closed their cyper-doors July 1 and didn't shut down the website ordering. http://www.blueheronmarine.com/ Happy to see the got their money from me though.

Well, they threw out some excuses (illness, vacation, etc.). Seems they are still in business and have finally sent out all the orders that backed up while they closed up shop (without telling anyone, mind you). Yea, won't be buying from them again. Lesson #42: If an internet business doesn't have a phone, don't order from them.

I too have also had a bad experience with Blue Heron Marine. I have been waiting two months for a thru hull transducer. Unfortunately they have been uncontactable and I have raised a complaint with Econsumer.gov as I am from overseas. Will be taking steps to recover the funds that were deducted.

They had a FB page which had a reviews section. There were a number of unhappy customers complaining about orders, their unresponsiveness and a lack of follow up. One BH person on FB started making all kinds of excuses and couldn't keep the stories straight (for example, claiming the part was back-ordered and thus it wasn't their fault for the late shipment (when, in fact, they had emailed prior giving the above vacation/illness excuses)). Eventually, because the person was getting called on the misrepresentations, or because of the bad press, or whatever, they deleted the reviews section. Its a pretty low-rent operation from what I've seen. Bummer you got screwed.
