Anyone with some experience behind these boats 06 - 09?

Neither if skiing is your primary activity; definately not the X-2, but even the X-1 is a marginal ski boat.

X2 is not too bad if you have the plate. But I will agree with Archimedes on Neither if that is what you primary activity

I had a 2000 XStar same as current x-1, ski wake was decent at anything over 30 mph.

X1 is a great boarding boat, good surfing boat, above average ( better than comparable I/O) ski boat

If all you do is ski or are serious about skiing you won't be happy with either. The X1 is slightly better than the the X2. The ProStar is where it's at for skiing. Everything else is a compromised that keeps getting greater as you move away from a core ski boat.

My 07 X2 with the attitude adj plate is more than adequate for long line/15' off skiing, especially at 30 mph+. It certainly doesn't compare with my previous boat (a 96 PS 190), but not much does...

Times two. As has been said here (and on many other non-MC forums), the X1/old Xstar/205V hull is probably one of the best wake hulls ever invented and one of the best all around hulls ever invented. The only complaints you will generally ever hear about this hull is the lack of space (I carry 5-6 on a regular basis but it will get cramped after that). As for skiing, I have done it a few times but have pulled some more serious slalom guys and they are surprised at how good it is. It is not for the serious skier but if you regularly have a group that loves to do it all (board, ski, surf) then this is a great boat.

PM Witness140 (he doesn't get here all that often and may not see this thread) he is an avid skier that lost his mind and bought an X2 last year. I'm sure he'll offer a detailed analysis on the wake if you really want info. ICBW but I think he ran it through the course just to see how it went.
