Ok guys and girls. I own a 2006 enzo 23ft. It has the surf wedge which equals 1100 pds of weight. I also have 800 pds in the rear, 1100 under the passenger side and 600 in the bow. I also have 400 in the stock ballast in the center of the boat. I was wondering what would give the me same surf wake in the mastercraft line? Would the x25,x35 be a good choice for me if I weight it the same way. The enzo has a killer surf wake maybe the best one on my lake but was considering moving to a new mastercraft.

I would look at the X25 or the X55

If you're strictly a surfer, you may want to check out the X-45 also (24 feet). Haven't surfed behind one myself but the guys at the Mastercraft dealership (sell Centurion, Moomba and Supra also) prefer it for surfing.

Anyone know of a thread that talk to setting up ballast in an X2 for max wake?

X55 hands down to the op. Not my boat or pic, but I was amazed so I saved it.

50ft Bayliner doing 12 knots, hands down. I had a great time surfing my 26ft Tollycraft (!) behind it (on the 3rd wave back) until I dug in the bow and thought I might roll it. Up till then I was picking up 4-5 knots for free, saving a "boatload" of fuel. My wife made me stop. I think she's smarter than me sometimes. ;)

Sure I am gonna get flamed.

However here it goes................ There is not an MC that will throw a surf wake equal to that of the Enzo. The pocket size on the MC's just isn't as deep. The Enzo is the best for sure. An X35 may be close, but in all seriousness the Enzo is the king of the surf. Centurion has that dialed.

I don't know anything about the Enzo. But the X55 throws a better surf wake than the X35. Bigger surf wake and bigger price tag.

I love my MC and looked at a comparable Centurion when I got my X1 but I have to agree. The Enzo SV 240+ is a boat they specifcially market to surfers complete with sideswipe exhaust. There are MC's that surf exceptionally well but no quite as good. Just like there are other boats that throw a pretty good wakeboard wake but nothing touches the X Star. That being said if I wanted a surf boat I would go with a MC because the overally quality is better. That is why I'm in an X1.
