My '97 PS190 w/ LT1 motor w/ Electronic Fuel Injection has just under 400 hrs. Last weekend it began briefly hesitating at speeds above 30 mph, then it started "bogging" down like it was starving for fuel. Eventually it stopped running. Plenty of fuel in the tank. My local MC service tech sadi there is a rash of bad fuel lines on ALL boats prior to 1999. It requires complete fuel line replacment, cleaning of the rails and injectors, clean out the tank and new filters. Has anyone heard about this "Wide Spread" problem?

I'm not sure, but your '97 LT1 may have the same fuel pump as my '95 TBI. If it does, it will be at the rear of the motor. If it's there, take off the pump. Remove the adapter fitting at the inlet, where the fuel enters the pump. Behind the fitting, should be a screen. I bet the screen is clogged. It's happened to me 3x on my 1000 hour TBI.

I hope that's the case, because it's a 1 hour project with 0$ in parts :)
