Any tips for getting the boats rubber side molding to look restored? Its rather scuffed up and I would like to bring the black back out some more.

Pretty cheap and easy to replace.

Actually it is NOT cheap to replace. 1/2" insert for a 19' boat will cost aroung $200 (just bought it for mine, check out my resto post). Now if the rail that the insert goes into is damaged that is about $300-$400 to replace + the insert cost.

On the crownline I sold to buy my MC I made it look good by doing 2 things. Wet sanding it with 800-1000 grit sandpaper (takes about 20mins to get around the boat. Go over it again with 1200-1500 sandpaper(wet) and then put a $hit ton of tire shine/armour all on it. It will look better than new.

I have a friend (not me!) that used to use a little acetone on a rag to wipe down the rub rail. Removes scuffs and smooths it out. Have to be careful, though, since it will melt it down if you use too much.
