The poles go into the holes with the pointy thing on top.

The big one goes in the middle. (The longest one anyways)

So... basicly you have to climb in under the cover, or set the poles as you unroll the cover. If you just put the poles on TOP of the cover they seem to lack effectiveness. The idea is that the pole will cause the cover to poke up like a tent so that water will flow off and not puddle up if it's raining, and stuff like that.

One in the bow. One in front of the pylon. One behind the motorbox. Should be female snaps in the cover. Straps go around the trailer frame, grab rail or wherever you are able to run them.

What do you put the poles on to hold them up high enough? They are only 12" tall or so.

They ought to have thumb screws to allow you to extend them. Like these (http://www.overtons.com/modperl/product/details.cgi?i=39636&pdesc=Adjustable_Boat_Cover_Support_Pole_21_1/2_43&str=telescoping+cover+poles&merchID=4005).

The 197/X7 Poles have straps that hold them up right. Pendo had a demonstration on here, but he deleted all the pic. I really cannot remember exactly how they go, except that the rear pole goes to the rear randrails for the back seat.
