Does anyone have any experience with the Ronix Cortez Wakesurfer? I'm looking at getting a board soon, and want to get the right one. I will demo the Cortez, but wonder if there is anything else out there that I should look at as well. We have a 94 205 and are surfing virgins. We will be surfing people from 130 to 220 lbs. Any help is much appreciated.

OK, This is my thrid outing with a surfboard. I demo'd the Cortez and loved it. I then went to the Hyperlite Broadcast. Didn't like it as much. Took more effort to get to the sweet spot for free ride ( no rope ). This weekend I'm back to the Cortez, and also a larger beginner board ( forgot the name ) for cruising and to practice hitting the sweet spot.

Right now, the Cortez is our favorite. 4 riders in our baot from 115lbs to 220lbs. Seems like a versatile board.

Again, I'm a newb and still playing with ballast and foot palement on the board.

Sounds like it may be the ticket.

I would vote for the inland surfer red woody. Agree with the broadcast.

Recommend trying out a board if you can before purchasing. We wakesurf with three boards between 4 different people and everyone has a completely different view on what board works best.

I am in Wichita KS and I have lots of new 2010 Surf boards. I dont have Ronix CWB, or Hyperlite but we do have Inland Surfer, Phase Five, Grindwater, Walker, and our own Towanza Board for demo. If you would like to demo any that we have on our site you are more than welcome. Would love to meet up somewhere north of here.
