View Full Version : '79 S&S finally lake ready!!

After owning this boat for six years I decided to put some much needed work into it for this summer. I lucked out and found this board to help me.
After lurking on the board for a few months and getting much needed advice, I finally have my boat ready for the summer.

These are all of the upgrades I did over the last month:
Recarpet
Electronic Ignition
New Belts
New Impeller
Distributor Cap and Rotor
New Battery Cables and Orbital Battery

What I am still working on:
Trailer - sand and repaint
Skins

Just wanted to say thanks for all of the help, I hope to taker her out tomorrow morning.

Welcome to the board! :D I am a newbie here too. This is such a great place to learn about MC! I am grateful for all the assistance I have had from many of the great folks here :worthy:

Thats a sweet looking MC you got there!! I hope you have a great summer with it. and I second the vote for the name, "Old School" is a great name for it.

Out standing work on "Old School" 79 is still my favorite. Sold mine in 86 for a 82 1/2 powerslot after some one broke the windshield. S&S exterior is looking nice.
