I have a 2001 X30 and was wondering if anyone has ever installed a hydrolic or manual wedge on this boat. I would imagine wedges are standard on the newer models now however I did not realize how important the wedge is for wakesurfing. Please help!

I don't think wedges are standard, but if you get enough of them, it could help with the wake. That sure would be a lot though... Which type do you prefer?

IMHO, it would be cheaper to but some fat sacks and properly load up a corner of the boat. That's just me, my knowledge of wedges is pretty limited....

Thanks! I have 4 fat sacks and I still cannot produce the wave my buddy produces from his Malibu which has the hydrolic wedge.

I'm not familiar with weighting the boats, but your x-30 should be able to blow away any Malibu's wake if weighted properly based on what I've read on different threads here.

There was a guy who did it on a non bu boat, but you have to be pretty careful. Don't want to rip the back of the boat off, which has been done.
