Looking for opininions, likes, dislikes, and what you use it for. I am thinking of purchasing one for intercoastal boarding and near shore fishing. Thanks in advance.

Like 99% of this boat. I live on a small lake though, and we do a lot of slow cruising around the lake with friends, and don't really utilize it to it's full potential. We don't fish on it, are not in salt water, etc... For boarding it's incredible. Great to drive- love the stand up cockpit and the hard top. Your application is custom made for this boat... by the way mine's for sale :)

Yeah we have had a 265 for about two years now and love it. The boat can handle rough water with eas. It can fit plenty of people comfortably. It has plenty of storage space. The lower head gets used way more then we though it would. There are still some things on the boat that mastercraft needs to work out. But they have changed quite a bit on the 2010 models. Such as not coming standard with trim tabs. The boat also does not have that great of a wakeboard/ski wake, however the 220 csx I heard has one of the best wakeboard hulls of the mastercraft line. But I am also coming from a current 197 owner and a previous x-45 owner. If you go with the 265 make sure you upgrade from the 350's to the 6.0L you will be much happier. We have the 6.0Ls now and it still takes a little while to get up on plain but the boat tops out at just shy of 50mph. Overall its a great party and recreational boat and we could not be happier with it. A majority of the cushions are removable which make great for fishing as well. Let me know if you have any other questions. Also this boat has had a lot of use in the south florida intercostal down near west palm and it will be back down there this winter.

That's a beautiful boat! I am thinking of going w the 220 for a smaller boat. Do you have any knowledge of how they handle offcoast?

There are two MC boats that I lust after in an unnatural way, and the CSX is one of them. The local dealer has a left over 08 225 at a clearance price that I've lusted after, but I just can't justify it. That 260 is a beaut.

Nice 265! Seems to be great for fishing and cruising offshore. Is the wake that much worse than the 45? I know the 45 has one of the best so the bar is set high when comparing the two.

The wake is just a bit narrower then the 45 but the big difference is, is that the 265's wake just doesnt really clean up. Its got whit wash water on it at pretty much all speeds. The x-45's wake was big and crisp with a nice lip and the 265 just can't compete with that. But from what I've notice the csx's, both the 265 and 220, are very heavy boats compared to other boats in their class. So when you hit rough water you can really feel that weight just pushing through the chop. Although if you are looking for offshore fishing use, make sure you check the distance you will be traveling for these boats do not have that great of gas mileage compared to other center concoles with outboards. As for the 220, my buddy just picked one up this summer. I have not been able to get on it yet but from what hes told me and hendles the chop really well.

Only dislike is also one of the things I like- the stand up cockpit… it's great for driving, but not as great for the slow tours around the lake. Mine is absolutely loaded… check your messages- I left my phone on there and can discuss it with you...
