View Full Version : Ski pole/pylon replacement

I have an 82 19' Mastercraft. The ski pylon is splintering near the wood. The local dealer says the new PS 190 pole is the same size. They haven't been overly impressive with service or problem solving and I am unsure that this is correct. I will need to drill the wood around the pole as it will not budge (all bolts removed and soaking base for weeks with penetrating fluid). Before all of this occurs, will this pole work. Mounting hardware = Female base plate w/ 2 set screws and 1 u-bolt clamp halfway up.

I believe the pylon in your boat is 2 1/2" and the new pylon should be 3". Might need a little customizing.

Newbie move, guess I posted in the wrong place. Not sure I want to change the plate at the bottom of the engine compartment. Pole is still solid, may just cut off splintering aluminum. Not pretty, but keeps us pulling. Thanks
