Hi everyone,
It was the week-end of broken parts: my wakeboard bindings, the surfboard fin and my attitude plate switch.
For the switch: can I replace only the plastic bracket that holds the switch to the panel (see picture)?
If not, where is the best place to buy a new switch?
And lastly, boat was purchased in June of 2008, is this switch still under warranty?
Thanks

I just replaced all of my switches. I had an independently owned autoparts store track some down via their catelogs/ordered. I dont think that the avg chain auto parts dealers wil have the sourceing to find them (limited suppliers...ie autozone, Hi-lo Oriely etc...) I will post the brand later if you ike. The empty boxes are still with my boat

Please do!
I guess you changed all the switches because of the poor quality. Do you find your new ones a lot better?
Thanks

I've replaced 4 or 5 switches now on my 06. Couple broke when I bought the boat (48hrs on it last yr) and a couple broke that had never been used until this year. Yes, they're crappy quality.
Dealers have them, get around $20/ea for them.
You can order them here: http://www.searay-parts.com/Carling_Lighted_tip_toggle_switch_s/121.htm
About 1/2 price from searay parts.
I was lucky enough to get a bag of all new switches from a member on here, think he switched them out for different colored lights or something.
I've been replacing them with the same ones, but would consider getting sturdier switches if I wanted another winter project. I think this is one area MC fell down in quality. Thick billet switch panels and chintzy plastic switches??

Thanks for the info, I am looking at their site right now trying to figure out which one would work. The number you gave me is not for the type of switch I have on my 08. I also need a switch that will ''communicate'' with the v-dig as I get a display of the trim of the plate on the screen.

Waiting for an answer from my dealer. He was too busy with broken boats to take care of my little problem...should have an answer by next Tuesday (I hope!)

Thanks for the link, I found a switch that I think would do the job: http://www.searay-parts.com/ON_OFF_ON_Double_Pole_Red_Satin_lighted_tip_p/electricallt-2581-1.htm.
My only worry is the V-Dig display. I will wait for an answer from the Dealer and if not satisfactory or too expensive! I will go this route.
Thanks

That looks like the one, since the trim tab operation would be momentary on for both up and down.
Not sure how everything "communicates" with Vdig, but the switch looks the same as the older non Vdig boats.

The toggle portion of the trim switch snapped off on my X45 last week. My dealer had to order one for me and I just slapped it in. Cost $20 for the trim switch as this was out of warranty on my 08.
