Well the saga continues........to make a long story short, I had to remove all the foam under the floor in the bow area to repair the floor. I'm getting ready to put some foam back in but am a little unsure which weight of foam to use - 2lb or 4lb. From what I've read, 2lb doesn't really have any structural strength whereas 4lb has some, but not a lot. Being in the bow area, where the boat takes the most pounding, I'm leaning towards the 4lb.
Any thoughts/experiences?
I've taken pictures and plan to document the 4" access hole I've put in the floor under the bow, and the cracks I've had to repair. I plan to post a write up when I'm done for those who are curious.
