Here is the new (to me) X-14 -- a REAL X-14. Bum cell camera, failing memory and a two week monsoon delayed these. (ok, PIC only for now. Some upload troubles with other pictures for some reason.) And no, not sure why it's fuzzy. Doggone great day on the lake though.

2008, just about 100 hours after today. MCX, Power Slot and underwater lights in addition to the stuff you can see. And MAN!!! -- is that PS tranny awesome. Never had one before.

Nice pics ... well earned .... sweet looking boat too ..... it is not quite a PS 214 but heck, you got what you wanted ;) ... after all you have been through I am sure that sweet ride will give you many years of pleasure.

Enjoy!!!!! As a 214 owner, I know you will love the versatility of that boat.

Great looking boat Chuck! Glad you were able to get what you wanted. I'm surprised so few X14's come with that tranny. Did your faux X14 have it out of curiosity? A few dozen more pics and you'll have done your duty here for now.

Hmmm, your tower braces are different than the ones I had. The '08 and '09. Wonder why? How bout yours 2R?

nice wood ski!

Wondered if someone would notice that. It's a Maja. Great ski. Bought it about 4-5 years ago. Love it, and can't believe how light it feels.

And John, no, the faux X-14 did not have the PowerSlot. I did check it visually right before I returned that boat in fact. It is a wonderful upgrade and makes a ton of difference. It's like having an engine upgrade. This MCX seems to perform better at all RPMs than the MCX on my X-9 with a 1:1.

Great looking boat. We love our X-14 too.

Mine has the same tower braces as yours. I wondered why there was a difference too. Mine was an '07 build, so I thought maybe they used these braces first, then switched to the 'new' style.

I thought just the '07 towers lacked the braces. But it does make sense that early 08's wold have them. I never paid much attention to the tower braces until noticing the pic in this thread.

Nice looking boat. I bought our boat not knowing what a Powerslot is, but having experienced it I would never buy a boat without it.

I bought my 06 in December 08. It has an updated tower after the previous owner ran her under a motel drive through. I said, what about the tower braces? They then put some of those on there. I don't think they look as cool as the newer ones, but they work fine and make a big difference in the sturdiness of the tower. So at least in December of 08, Utah Water Sports had some of those style still laying around.

And great looking boat, Age Fighter! Glad it worked out for you.
