Does anybody know about this boat or maybe live near it? It is in the Market. My buddy is interested in it. I'm curious if they have the year listed correctly. Isn't that a 2005 tower? Didn't the tower design change in 2006?

The tower changed on the 2007 boats. I have this same boat and really like it. Nice looking boat but plan on investing in swivel racks and speakers. Also plan to update ballast if you wakeboard or surf.

Ditto the tower, I looked at 2006 and 2007 both new when I purchased. 2007 went to the flat tower. I worried about sway even before the braces. I went with the 2006 and would agree. I upgraded to swivel board racks and have replaced the hard tanks with 750lb fat sac's. Love the boat. I have the RTP which is more than enough power, with the MCX that will be sweet.

Pricey for what appears to be a stripper, save for the MCX and Perfect pass. Single axle, no tower speakers/lights, fixed racks, teak platform, etc.

I tend to agree as much as it pains me. I have swivel board racks and upgraded ballast with 100 hours and would price in that range. But then again where it's priced and what it could be had for are different animals. I don't have tower speakers, but I don't like loud music. I spent 900 on a third pump and upgraded ballast. PP stargazer is my next upgrade is 1700 installed.

Looks like a very good deal to me. Here is a sampling of what is for sale on Craigs List right now and his price looks low by comparison:

So you looked at the boat? Is it in good shape? If it isn't worth the trip from Ohio I'll let my buddy to not waste his time

imo
30k is a very fair price...

I don't think he needs to move, he'll sell it at 30k....

I have an 06 X1 - and love it....

I sold my 06 X1 last year for $37 and some change. That is a good deal. I had 4 tower speakers, upgraded board racks, 185 hrs, bimini, tandem trailer, etc. But that seems like a steal if it's in good shape.

But that's at least $5k of options you just mentioned right there, much lower hours and it was a year ago. I still think $30k is too high for that boat, regardless of condition, but if he's willing to hold out long enough, someone might come along and buy it.

And CL asking prices are useless, crack pipe induced data. As I've said before, my 06 X-1 with over $10k of add ons above that boat and a third of those hours didn't sell for $30k last summer. I think that's a $27k boat/max, but, again, the greater fool theory is always a possibility.

It is a fantastic boat though.

CL ads are always good for a laugh. BTW, that SFBay one has been rolling on CL for a while. Only a fool would pay anywhere near the asking price on that one.

Love the orange 04 for $38k...

I think that is a decent deal AT BEST for that boat. I bought my 2005 X-2 about 5 months ago. The '05 has considerably more bling on it than the '06 X-1 (mostly billet pieces). My boat came on a tandem axle trailer, RTP engine, 100 hours, reverse gelcoat, tower racks and speakers, bimini, Perfect Pass, KGB ballast, and also came with $1500 worth of extras like wakeboards. I would consider it to be pretty loaded up. I bought it for 30k. ORX-1, I can't believe you got that for your boat. That is awesome! I had a deal made for an '06 for 30k late last year before I backed out and bought my X-2. It had less than 200 hours, tower speakers, rtp, and perfect pass. It was on a single axle trailer. I don't feel like craigslist is an accurate sampling. Boats that are actually changing hands are a much better indicator of what the market value is. I'll bet you there are few '06 X-1s changing hands for north of 30k in this market, especially private sellers.

Having said all of that, I spent hours late last year looking at 205v boats and talking to owners. There were NUMEROUS '05-'06s that could be bought in the neighborhood of 30k that were much better optioned out than the boat that is the topic of this thread (few had the MCX though which is worth some extra cash).

I agree, I have been watching the 04 for like 3 months now. I didn't even want to post it up here cause it's such a joke!
