It's a popular topic, so I thought it's make for a good thread for the guys who didn't score a factory tower when we bought our Mastercraft. You can get dizzy searching the forums, so post up your New Dimension, Joystick, Monster, Fly High, or whatever tower you installed!

I installed a New Dimension on my 92. For me, the style, fit and overall construction made the 2k more then worth it. I installed it with just the help of my wife so it's pretty light and easy to move around.

My ND mini. My barefoot buddies installed it....while I skipped rocks in the old MasterCraft pond and wrung my hands like an anxious father. I use a tower boom with it.

First tower I've seen with a satellite dish on it. Way cool. Does it play on the VDig?:D

Here is mine with the MT. It was on the boat when I bought it. I'm not sure if I would have picked that one, but its pretty good. Bolts come loose on their own occasionally, but its fairly easy to fold. Not the best looking in my opinion, but it works great.

I like the way it looks and the color. It's different and it looks more open.

Just added the Monster MT2 tower to my 2003 Maristar. The tower is rock solid and completely silent. We've pulled kids to heavy adults and it has performed as billed. Everything you have heard about the Monster service is true. They are great to work with. The tower was ordered on a Friday, delivered on Tuesday and in the water that Friday. Very happy so far!

The MT1 on my '92. Works great. Have to tighten it up after folding, but that just takes a second. I bought it the year before they came out with the MT2. I have a rack and a mirror on it now.

Roswell Area 51 on my 99 Prostar 205 SD, I think it looks great. I am not a fan of the ND tower or Monster so this was for me

Was there no way to mount that tower 8 inches closer to the bow? to me it looks like the tower should have been mounted closer to the bow so that the lines match the boat. nice tower and nice boat, but the way the tower is mounted totally spoils that boat for me..To each his own I guess.

Nope, no way, 8 inches forward you're mounting the tower right in the intakes. And underneath there's a huge air box that goes FORWARD of the intake hole like 7 inches :( And like I said on the flat spot above the intakes the tower doesn't go that narrow.

Unfortunately this was the only spot where it would work for the width and where I could actually get the backing plates in.

I actually kinda like it like that (it looks funny looking at it from the side, yes) but for visibility the tower is at the perfect spot, more forward and I could see the front bars.

Well Jerome, you got her cleaned up, got a tower on her and a trailer and have her in the water. Looks good. How are you liking her so far?

What a SWEET machine! very smooth, drives amazing, if your passenger isn't holding on when you throttle up quick they will fly off their seat, lol

Low speed driving is interesting, on the Seadoo boat when you went full lock on either side it would actually throttle up making low speed maneuvering easy so I just have to get used to this.

Can't wait to wakeboard behind her this weekend :)

Load her up good with a lot of human or non-human ballast and you will really like the wakeboard wake she puts out. Personally, I like to keep her light for that beautiful flat wake she throws out at 34-36MPH.:D Either way, enjoy!

Is it considered a wake if it's flat? lol

Here is a link to my thread re. my "new to me" tower. Yes, it's a malibu Illusion XS 2008-09 model years tower. Call it a Malicraft or and Masterbu all you want, but it will still look bad a$$ when I get it mounted. Meeting with the CNC programer on Sunday morning to have everything measured out.

Will be machining entirely new mounting bases from extruded Aluminium. This was we can incorporate approximately a 2" move inward of the mounting points. He is really creative and talented CNC guy. He said it would be easy to accomplish and would blend the design into the new base plates.

How do you like the tower boom? I have been thinking about getting one instead of my conventional boom that I have.

Love the tower boom! It's strong, easy to put on, and you don't have to step over it.

Some good discussion here. I just bought an '88 ProStar '190 tricked out for show skiing (custom pylon, looks like KW barefoot boom and trick releases, Indmar 454 sounds like it has a custom cam). Thinking of putting a tower on it for easier barefoot starts and wakeboarder damage :-) Anyone with a picture of an '88 prostar with a custom tower? Torn between the ND and the Monster Tower. I like the ND, but the pricetag would be nearly $1,000 more with racks and speakers.

Also saw one person saying they hit their head on the tower when hopping out of the driver seat. These things say 7' tall - -what am I missing?

You didn't discuss anything, you said it should have been mounted closer to the bow to match the lines of the boat and the way it's mounted spoils the boat for you. That's not discusion, that's your opinion 8p

What haha. A discussion requires more than one person.... did you wan't me to post a discussion with myself? What is happening between us is a discussion based on my opinion. Which is EXACTLY the point I was making.
