It's been a long several months, but my dock project is finally winding down. I have a few more little things to do and everything's done. I promised myself I would not put the boat in until the lift was in and working correctly. Tests today worked well. I'm going to leave it for the weekend to make sure it doesn't lose air. Then I plan to put the boat in the water for the summer sometime next week. Just in time for Memorial Day weekend!

Finally got it floating and ramp installed a few weeks ago:

Hydrohoist. Not sure how old. Got it with the PS 205 I bought this winter. The bunks are already set for the boat.

Thanks. My wife has brought a few "picinic" meals over while I've been finishing it up and then they've been swimming from it while I did some more work. Will have to start bringing some beer once it's done. Sadly, the trees to the West prevent seeing the sunset over the water. However, that also means the dock starts getting shade around 6PM, so it feels significantly cooler. I think it's a worthwhile trade. Haven't been over there early enough yet to see if we get the sunrise. I think I'll wait until the house is done and we move in.

Thanks. I'll wait until I get the boat in the water so I can post a pic of it at the dock and on the lift.

Thanks.

This is the first dock I've ever built and the first boat lift I've ever done anything with. It's been an interesting project. I've essentially done it on my own. The only assistance was from my builder helping to flip it over once the floats were on, my father helping with the decking while he was visiting, and the builder loading the dock and float on his trailer and hauling them to the boat launch. Positioning the dock and installing the ramp on my own were quite an adventure.
