I am trying really hard to find out exactly how much weight is in each tank and bag with the triple KGB ballast in my 05 X2. Does anyone have any definite answers on that? I could not find it at mastercraft.com.

Thanks

just find out how many gallons it holds and multiply by 8.35.

How do you figure I would guage that? I have no way of telling how much water the pumps are pulling in.

Each rear tank holds 23 gallons. The center bag holds 40 gallons.

Cheecher - I have an '05 X-2 as well, and I remember when I bought it I was curious as well. I'm pretty sure that the dealer told me that each tank in the rear was 150 lbs and the sack in the center ski locker was 400 lbs - 700 lbs total.

SO thats a total of 717.24 lbs of ballast, if each tank is 23 gallons, and the center bag is 40 gallons. 191.82 lbs in each tank, and 333.60 lbs in the locker bag. Does that sound accurate?

Have you added any lead to the bow? I've got 400lbs in the bow of mine. Makes a big difference on the wake and the driveablilty of the boat.

I have 200 lbs of sand, and a 450 lb bag up there right now.
It does help out, I just think I may need to add a little more to the back besides the 800 we have added to stock (400 each side). The wake has no lip with that much up front. I have another 450 lb bad i will stick in front of the back seat tonight. We'll see what happens. I am on a quest....LOL!

I use 8lbs per gallon as a general rule. I can tell you that when the current X2 was our premier wake boat we put a full fat sac in each locker and 200lbs under each bow seat along with a full stock ballast system. 1500lbs on top of the stock 700lbs...
