Trying to get the bunks close before I put the boat on the lift. Does anyone know how far apart the bunks should be for a 2003 X9?

Lift is a shorstation 4000# that's 120"s wide

Thanks,

My lift has 2 bunks and I set them up to match how the two bunks support my boat on the trailer....your trailer is always a good reference :D

Same question different context;, bunks on trailer measure 38" inside to inside, bunks on shorestation measure 36" inside to inside, should I move them out or keep close to raise the boat a little?

The rails on the hull of the boat are at 36 inches and 58 inches center to center. The rails have a 3 inch wedge to the inside. This is measured at the stern. I don't know if the rails stay straight, go in or go out as they go from the stern towards the bow.
The bunks are up against the outside edge of the hull rail for centering the boat on the trailer. If you move the bunks in, you will have to hold the boat centered by hand. I would move the bunks out.

I took this from my web cam a few mins ago - hope it helps!

p.s. Still need to level the station a little - doh!

That's how I was told to set my X2 up. Was told it's the strongest part of the hull to lift the boat from. Don't know if that's true but all the inboards on our lake are basically set up the same. Looked a bit scary to me at first but it's been out there for close to two years now with no issues.

That's how I have my lift set up. You can lower the bunks a little if you want. I have my hull about 4 inches above the beam.

What does it look like from the back? Do you match the contour of the first "chine" from front to back??? I could lower my bunks quite a bit if I set them up like that. Maybe I'll add a primary set like that and move my others as a secondary set further out. Hmmm

I copied my outer bunks of my trailer for my X45. I have yet to put her on but even though it looks wide, it will clear all of the under hull fittings.

Very cool with the webcam. Is this something your marina offers, or did you set it up.
