My family and I just bought a '95 Prostar 205. We purchased some Fat Sacks/ballasts to increase the wake for the wakeboarders, but are not very familiar witht he best way to use them. We have 2 Pro X Series V drive Sacs. Each is 400 lbs.
What is the best way to use these for optimal wake? Is this enough weight to achieve good results?

I have a 2000 205v and i did put a 540 lbs fat sac in each compartment beside the motor and 5 30kg sand bag under the seats at the bow. i does a very nice wake !!! so just fill one bag, the side you want to surf ! or both if you want to wakeboard....

I'm not sure of the shape of those sacs, but a pretty standard way to weight a direct drive boat would be a sac in the ski locker and another underneath the back seat.

I talked to Fly High yesterday regarding weighting my prostar 190, and although a different boat, they recommended to pick up the 750 lb bags, part number W707, and put them on the sides of the motor box. I was told to fill them up as much as the space will allow since the bag is bigger than the space.
Give Fly High a call and they can figure out what setup you need based on what you are expecting out of the wake. Their number is 414-964-3668, they have great customer service and are very helpful.

In my 1993 205 Direct drive, I had a bag in the ski locker, and a 750 on each side of the engine, and it did nice for wakeboarding.
