I believe my fuel pump (which I just replaced 400 hours ago) took a dump again. It's a TBI 350 ('95 PS190).
does anyone know what the pressure should be and if anyone has a pressure gauge recommendation (since I'll probably be buying one tonight).
thanks!

it's pretty low, 15PSI range is all for the TBI motor.

not sure for TBI, but my LT-1 95 prostar 205 runs 40-45 PSI

LT1 is Port injection... Throttle Body Injection is much less...15 even sounds a bit high....What does it do when you throttle up real quick?? Hopefully Jim or MMyC will come on to comment....

The pump has been whining quite loud lately, so I figured it was going out. Then, Tue night, my top speed went down to 35 mph - figured it finally took a dive. I have an old pump that I took off that I thought was bad, but ended up just being clogged. I wanted to test the pressure last night, then come here today to find out if it was too low or not since a new pump is $270.00.
Long story short, I don't have a test valve on the fuel line like I thought I did. Ended up swapping fuel filter & put my old (cleaned) pump back on. Runs like a top now.
The pump is stamped 25 PSI max. and I've been told is the same as the LT1 pump for '95. But wanted to know what is required PSI.
Now I have an additional question. Should I have a shrader (sp?) valve between my filter & Throttle Body? If so, how much is a new gas line that goes from the Filter to the TB which includes the valve?
thanks all for you help. This is the BEST board on the net.:headbang:
