Alright, I have an easy one...
Do you guys use any gasket sealer when replacing the impeller and seal? I notice mine has something on it now but not sure if there is a recommended type to use for this application. I assume its just standard grey RTV?

Nope, no sealer. Use the gasket/seal, for the housing. RTV would make removal or inspection a chore.

Since you have a guest status, we can't tell that boat, model or engine, pump you have.

Secondly here are the impeller/gasket you need if it's a Johnson 812 as used with Indmar engines, http://www.skidim.com/prodinfo.asp?number=RP061018

Okay. I have a 2004 X-30 with the LQ9 GM motor, is that link still the correct impeller?

Should be. My '96, '06 and a buddy's 01 Malibu are all the same. Skidim, call them, Vince or someone there can confirm.
