We parked at a marina on Sat. and while we were having a few drinks, someone parked beside us and tossed a cigarette into our boat. When we got back to the boat it had burnt a hole about the size of a quarter. The skins are about 2 years old and I was pretty upset. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix or cover it up without buying a new skin for the back seat? Thanks

Man would I be pissed! From the size of the hole, I'd say you have to replace the seat.

No I didn't see who did it, we waited around! It may be about the size of a dime and it didn't go all the way through. I was thinking maybe their was some type of vinyl repair that would just make it look decent.

Aqua Seal?
BTW-That sucks! A beat down was in order!

I bet it was a dude wearing a speedo driving a jet boat w/a mullet!

I have seen a "cheap" fix done before where some extra material that is wrapped under the seat is cut off and used as a patch. It is noticable, but if done by a good shop, it shouldn't be too bad, but far from perfect.

I had the same thing happen last month. However I had a 30+ foot Baja that passed me with a bunch of drunks going 60+ mph. Mine was about the size of a dime.

I bought a vinyl repair kit at a auto store. Looks better but not great.

Good luck

I had a rip in my vinyl when I bought the new boat in a hard to see spot. Dealer had it fixed by a local upholstery shop. Check with your dealer or call an upholstery shop. They should be able to repair it.

I think I'd consider Super-Glueing a quarter over it. Would look better than an ugly-a** burn and only cost a little over 25 cents.
But that's just me. :uglyhamme
