boat lift clearance re:skegs and prop

I am looking at a used vertical boat lift this weekend for my Mastercraft. Are there typically special parts required to ensure proper clearance for the skegs and prop?? Any idea what I can measure to make sure it will have enough clearance??

Thanks a ton for any help you can provide me. I am dying to get my boat out of the water so I can get the ugly scum off the hull that has been building since it has been floating the past month.

Here is the only 'special part' you'll need... but I'll save you the time to measure. The fins extend 6 1/2" below the bottom of the boat and the prop. extends 16" below the bottom of the boat. My ProStar 205 will float in 22" of water.
So......22"-16" = 6" which is the depth of the hull that's under the waters surface.
And.....22"-(6" + 6 1/2")=9 1/2" which will be maximum height the lift's cross bar can be above the bottom, and still float your boat onto the lift.
The lift's bunks need to be AT LEAST 8" below the water surface to float my boat onto the lift.
