Hi all,

I currently have a O'Brien wakeboard 137 with Hyperlite bindings.

Though, I love the slalom "O'Brien Seige", I am starting to enjoy the slower speed impacts of wakeboarding, thank god for my barefoot suite who takes the brunt of most falls.

As always, if your not fallen, your not trying... :D

Anyway, I am about to buy another wakeboard, thinking about the O'Brien Vision 140, or the O'Brien Player 143. (75% leaning toward player 143)

Anyone have a favorite, that I should look at? Ohh buy the way, no small boards :) 185 @ 6'2", I need lots of material to make those big jumps. LOL

I hope your not speaking about the Skurfer that originally came out in 1990's  (1985 to be exact), I purchased (what I believe the first model ever made) which just toe wraps. Hard as crap to get on, and not that much easier to ride, but still fun.

HO's HyperLite models "today" are similar to O'Brian and I do like both, just have not focused on Hyperlite in wakeboarding. I will dig around in that area.

I'm not up on all the wakeboard models and lingo, but I board alot, and for your height and weight, a 141-143 cm is preferrable. I'm 6-1, 200#+ and on a 136 and it's too small. A 143 feels much better.
Also, I prefer a 4 or 6 fin board, w/ the outside corner fins. Much more forgiving cutting in choppy water.

hyperlite ERA... i'm 6'1 200 lbs and love the board. Good pop off the wake and soft landings. 4 molded fins down the side and 2 removable fins in the middle..... nice board.

Boards are like skies, you have to try them out see what you like. Hyperlite has some interesting boards out right now, the Murray board is a directional board, it will ride and feel different depending on if you are riding goofy or not, the Byerly board also has the flow through technology, the board has cut outs in it so the water actually flows over the top of the back of the board that helps it stick in the water and gives you great carving ability but it does take a little more work to get the board out of the water. Try out some that are continuous or 3-stage you might prefer one over the other. Hyerlite also has a series that gives you more edge hold depending on if you are on heel-side or toe-side edge, I believe that is the State series. I agree with Thrall probably a 141 at least for your size.

I currently am riding the Byerly 137 (too big for me) I am waiting for my new board to arrive Syn 132 which is the girls version of the Era board. It has pretty girl graphics.
