This is for the "X" people.
The X45 is blue and yellow and the Star is silver and gray metalflake.
Beautiful boats but rarely see them on the lake.
They sat on the lifts all fathers day!
There are quite a few of these on the lake these days.

Not as good as your X-80, but that Carver with its 13 ft. beam and 19,000 lb, will probobly throw a mean wake!

Yea it will proably be huge, just wonder how it will hold speed? need to call PP and see if they have a system for twin 496mags

The only step up from your X-80 is a twin engine X-80.
Can you get them with Perfect Pass?

Or, just get a nice 197/X-7, can't get any better than that. ;)

I almost bought a 197 last year, it was a dark blue had all the x series stuff on it and the gothic graphics, it was proably the best looking MC i had ever seen.

we decided to trade the X80 up and get something we could stay the weekend on, so we sold our 40' fifth wheel, the 33' Donzi, and since we're getting the carver I want to get something that is easier to tow back and fourth, is more practical, and will fit in a standard garage so I can take it with me when I go back to college. I've been looking at and talking to our dealer, It's either a X7, X9, Or another X2 have to make up my mind by the end of ther week

No, but they seemed like a great bunch of guys. Very helpful and had a nice selection of DD boats on the lot.

Are you fan of yellow?

How about red?

http://www.mcboats.com/boat_graphics/dealers/2487/digi10014506.jpg

Or yellow and black?

Tough choice. The X2s will have better wakeboarding wakes with factory ballast only. You can get the X9 wake close with additional ballast/people but the wake will always be wider than the X2.

But IMHO the X9 is much more fun to drive!! :D Good luck

I've never had a DD before but have driven quite a few of them, it would be hard for me to do to a x9 nine from what I have now, I think I'm going to go with the X2 because of the storage, evan though I like the look of the 209 better

My vote since it's not my money is on the black with red stripe. Trendy colors don't hold their value. MC of Ark is a great place, I have known the owner since 94 before they owned the dealership. Joe and Connie are great people. I have had metal flake and love the look but will not have it again because it is so hard to keep in great shape. Tell them George in Texas says hello.

Then get the pro tour red. The 05 tower is worth it and that color is way sic...............

I think that is what we're leaning toward, how do you like the throttle by wire, and how does it compare to the old style? and do you have the MC cruise or the PP WB pro

Since I don't own a digital camera, and I have yet to figure out how to scan, I'll borrow the picture for the aforementioned yellow x-9. I got that boat, but a 2003. Some different graphics, or tower lights/speakers. The wake isn't huge, buth my wife and I ski, the 3 kids board. Best of both worlds.

Didn't see my other thread, huh?? :D

http://www.tmcowners.com/teamtalk/showthread.php?t=3458

I have the PP WB Pro version and it has some great features. It appears the issues I am having in the above thread will be fixed shortly. I think it will be very nice once the get all the issues worked out. Appears to be a software issue which is common on new releases.

I love the DBW system. Very responsive yet drasticlly different than the cable system. It does take some time to adjust to the different feeling but much smoother than the cable. DBW and the 05 tower are two really big reasons I would take the 05 over the 04. Plus the pro tour red just looks better! ;)

Added chrome pylon, chrome mirror bracket and chrome air exhaust slots, black tonneau cover, 03 black bimini and this weekend ski extensions for one rack. I'm putting the old mirror bracket on the left side for double mirrors too.

george,,,,slight threadjack....i notice you cant fully raise the NYMAN boat lift due to your tower touching your canopy...is it ok to leave the lift like this,,not locked-out???? is there a chance the lift will lower under the boats weight overnight/over the week???
i ask this because i have the same lift, and when fully raised and locked out the boat sits way high up in the air.....i know i could lower the lift platform, but some hair-brain who installed it for the original owner put the legs up the wrong way and the adjustment holes are the wrong way up.......i dont particualy want to spend a whole weekend dismamtling it and putting it back together.......

sooo.....
is it ok to leave it partially raised????

....i notice you cant fully raise the NYMAN boat lift due to your tower touching your canopy... Actually I had a small square spacer made that attaches to the original pole, sits on top the pole (see photo)
is it ok to leave the lift like this,,not locked-out???? is there a chance the lift will lower under the boats weight overnight/over the week???
My system which is 10 years old, runs on pressure from water by a pump. It has 4 holes in main pipe that you can lock out the boat.
I've had the boat up all the way and NOT locked out and it stayed o.k. for a day. Never tested it longer than that and IMO there's always a chance it could lower from a small leak. Plus it would cause your pump to run off & on, off then on, etc.
Again for day trips we lock it out in 2 or 3 position and 3-4 over the week. I'd CALL Basta (replaced Nyman) and ask one of their smart guys/girls. Mine may be the only one so check with company!

GOOD LUCK!
George
