Need advice on buying a new bimini top for my 93 prostar. I don't want it to stick up to high over the windshield. I would want it to have a stylish look and easily folded down. any suggestions.

slick, I bought mine from Overtons. a few years ago. they have ones that are made for competition boats that are only 30 inches high. if you search on here you will find more info too. where to get it also depends upon how much you are willing to pay. I believe boatcoversdirect is more than at Overtons but it is probably sturdier. Mine has aluminum poles and some come with stainless but stainless costs more. the hard part is drilling holes in your fiberglass, it just makes one nervous.

I bought this from Daryl Moore Marine in Houston. Not sure who they used, but it meets your low profile criteria and may give you some mounting ideas. I had jaw slides on the grab rails to attach the rear straps.

It was rolled into the sale of the boat, so it doesn't show up on the receipt. But, if I recall correctly, it was about $400 installed. A bit steep, but I didn't know better at the time.

It was nice and drum tight, too. Worked well at ski speeds.

east tx anyway you can measure or do you know how wide it is from mounting point to mounting point on the windshield.. i have found that top but without having to drive an hour to measure didn't know if you might have yours close.

The boat lives in Canada now. If need be, I can put you in touch with its current owner if you need any other measurements. However, it just so happens, I have some mounting measurements including the one you asked for. Hope these help.

The width from mount to mount is 73.75"
The height from deck to the top of the canvas is 25"
The height from mount to the top of the canvas is 17"
The distance from the mounting point on the windshield to the back edge of the windshield is 15".

*Deck means top of the gunwhale btw.
