Personally, I think it's one of the best looking cars VW has ever made. I do not have one, but have been looking at them quite a bit. The VR6 with 4-Motion is pushing $40K though. On the other end of the spectrum, I'm not sure if the 2.0T would have enough to get that car moving. I know it's no slouch, but...(rather have VR6) They still are a sweet lookin ride!

Looks a lot like the Camry SE model. The SE has more body molding, lower to the ground, and is much better looking than the other "plain jane" Camry's.

2.0t is plenty to get it moving. i have a 05 jetta with the 1.8t and it will fly. even so my mom's passat with the same 1.8t will run like a scalded dog on the highway. buy a vw and you will buy more i assure you!!

I haven't checked it out too much, but IIRC the low sloping hood doesn't boast well for rear passengers. Love VW's. 2010 GTI!

Great looking car!!! I've never owned a VW so I have no useful input beyond that.

I like the looks, but don't think I'd buy one. Every VW I've been around has been a pile with the exception of the diesels

Like the looks of this car.

Having said that, I test drove a new Passat a couple of years ago and was not impressed with the cheap feel of the interior for the price of the vehicle. I know this is not the same car, but that is the impression I have been left with in a VW.

My brother had a 2001 (I think) Wolfsburg edition Jetta that was a very nice ride. Simple interior, but 5 speed 1.8T that would flat out scoot when you pushed the skinny pedal to the floor!

In my limited experience a couple of samples:

1-Friend with 2003 Passat V6 4Motion - unreliable and expensive to fix - he'd never buy another VW
2-Dude at the Toyota dealer when I happened to be there looking at vans - getting a lemon law buyback on a loaded Passat, purchasing an Avalon (1yr ago)
3-Friend with 2002 Jetta TDI and over 300,000 miles - repairs are not cheap but 55mpg and still rolling!
