I just ordered a Holley 4160 to replace my 4010. Now I need to get a fuel hose that will work. Is there a direct replacement that I can order reasonably priced? Or can I just go to the local speed shop, get steel braided fuel line and AN fittings and make my own? I know several people have done this conversion, what did you use?

Thanks. I guess I can assume that the steel braided line with the fittings would be safe for a marine application? Just want to make sure the fittings won't leak, I've never used line like that before so I don't know how durable they are.

The consensus seems to be that it is safe.

As long as you terminate the AN hose end properly it should be safe, there's tutorials around the net on this. Also most AN fittings are made of aluminum so don't overtighten them. There's AN adaptors that goes right on your carb. I'm going for the AN/braided hose myself.

Not sure if youve already completed this, but I found it very easy to bend up a fuel line form an automotive shop on my first try. Cost about 6 or 7 bucks for the line, but I already had a brake line bender tool, otherwise it would have been another ten or so.
