Going to Montreal requires that you eat a healthy diet of Poutine, cheer for the Montreal Canadiens and proclaim Quebec as a recognized country. Once you master those...anything else goes!

Enjoy your trip!

Excuse me FD but that would be pronounced 'labbat sank on' not 50. Make sure you go to Schwartz deli for some smoked meat and what the hey, get yourself a beaver tail. For breakfast a vachon and a pepsi. St Catherine street is a great place for nightlife which goes to 4:00 AM.

Montreal is truly a great town. I was there last spring for a UFC fight and stayed at a great boutique hotel called Hotel le Germain. What a manly place to stay for a boys weekend for UFC. Hey I didn't book it.

Yeah this thread is really off topic....... Time to move it...

Which dates will you be in town?
Always something to see each week end.Biodome will be nice and you'll be next to the Olympic stadium wich got a tram going up the incline tower.Old port got an IMAX movie theater and all kind of activities and put some sunglasses if you want to "discreetly" look at all the girls!Too bad as i think the Montreal MC dealer has just close down and it was a stone throw from down town. There's a casino on Notre-Dame island right in the middle of the F1 racing track.Lots and lots of bar and reataurants and dancing places.
Lots of shopping to do for you and the wife.Try to go watch a Saturday night hockey game in a sports bar or better yet...live but expect to pay at least 150$ a ticket of mid range from the scalpers.
Enjoy yourself and if you got spare time,i'm 1hr 45 minutes from MTL to the east and close to the border on your way back. You're welcome for a beer or two!

Plenty of places to stay, depends on what you want to pay. From the Queen Elisabeth Hotel to all types of motel on the south shore in Longueuil(my hometown) and Brossard.
Have fun!

I think the more important question here would be "WHY"
