Hi,
I have a 1994 205 prosport. I am getting water in the ski locker from an unknown source. There is a plug between the engine bilge and the ski locker, so it is not comming from that direction.
Suggestions would be appreciated.

If its like my 94 Maristar, the water leaks around the grommet that the plug fits into.. I have had a hard time getting a plug to fit mine correctly also.. I have just lived with the problem.....

Have a similar issue with my 1992 Prosport 205. I used silicon sealer around the edges of the end of the ski locker that seperates it from the bilge area. That seems to helped, but I think the basic issue is that any water that get in, never drains out. If I pull the plug, and drive at about 10 MPH, I get the bow high enough for most of the water to drain, and then you need to put the plug back while you are still moving at that speed. Unless I bail the last little bit, the ski locker never drains completely. I have had water come over the bow on an occasion or two (too sharp of turn : :steering:  ), and that all seems to end up in the locker, plus water comes off the skis I put in for storage since I use the locker for our junior skis. I tend to prop open the locker when the boat is in the garage just to keep it from getting too nasty, and then bail/dry it occasionally. If I do not use the skis, it generally stays dry since I have sealed the back panel of the locker.
Good Luck :toast:

Thanks for your comments. I will try to check the plug and the back end of the locker.
Is there any chance it is comming from the bilge pump which exits foward or the speedos?

Don't know about leakage from the hoses out of the bilge pump, but I wouldn't think there would be a channel for them to leak into the ski locker (could be wrong). I've had the same problems mentioned above with water leaking around the plug. I used some silicone on the plug itself to make it tighter, and also re-siliconed the seams in the locker. I use a wet-dry vac (which I think is a must-have for all boat owners) to remove any leftover water in the locker. If you raise the jack as high as possible, most of the water will drain to the rear of the locker, or if you can park on a fairly steep incline.

I have a 2002 X-10 and I get water into the round hole just behing the ski locker. It houses a T shaped plug but it's in so tight that I can't get it to budge so don't think that's leaking. Some people have mentioned that maybe the seal around my drive shaft may be leaking???? I don't know but sounded like that could be the problem.

I have a 04 Maristar 210 and mine leaks a little too. Have not messed with yet and I do not know if I will. The boat should not leak at all though. ;)

Same issue with my 93 205. But it's probably from the time I burried the nose when I first got the boat. Wet/dry vac is a must. Since then, it's not much of a problem.

I have a '95 PS190 with a "cooler" in the floor between the pilon & passenger's seat. It also leaks around the grommet (sp?). Never worried about fixing it.
