I've looked at the 2010 brochure a dozen times or so....I just noticed that they have dropped the Maristar label for the non X boats. (Unless I'm missing something - that'd be no surprise.) Now they are just 200V etc. I like the new terminology.
I missed it if this was already discussed.

Been breached upon vaguely, but I like the change. The Maristar name always seemed a bit out of sorts. The V, X work well.... now, how about the P line!?!?!? :D

i noticed the same thing the other day looking at the 2010 V-series (Maristar). My hull decals are in good shape but i am considering removing them understanding most likely some fading has occurred. What do you guys think? Leave them on until more worn or remove for a more modern look?

Waay off topic here:
So why don't the 1st 2 letters that denote the states have the same initials used universally, by the post office and everyone else? (Like here CO is CL, CA is CF, only coincidence that NM is NM...etc)
Were the boat designations all set before the USPS (I think that's who standardized the abbreviations) standardized it?

I noted the lack of Maristar on the MC website last night. Hopefully they do not change Prostar to P. I wish we could get more digital pics of MCs other than the two wallpapers for each model. I run them as a screen saver on my computer. Plus I noticed on the website videos that most of them do not include someone skiing behind the boat, just people riding across glass. What a waste!

iowa is a scenic state just not many lakes in our next of the woods. Every summer we go up into northern minnesota for a week or two, (36 years worth).

The Iowa Great lakes are located 90 minutes east of our home. Gorgeous water that regrettably 4 billion people want to enjoy on a given weekend. Mostly go here to watch boats and people, and eat by the lake.
55890
Lewis and Clark Lake on the Missouri River is located 90 minutes southwest. Most often our watersports are done here.

You are aware the Illinois is bordered by Lake Michigan to the northeast and the Mississippi River to the west? :D

Hey LaRue,
I think the after market "Maristar' Stickers you have on there look great, however they are Kinda small and not expressing the Boats large potential.
Our Maristar's have a Big Rear End, and need to be represented :D
I think some New Drip Mold Stickers would would be the Ticket. A Loud and resounding "MasterCraft" Read (This Lake Is Owned...) on the side that can be read from across the lake you pictured above
Plus, those Vynyl Stickers are so 2008...

The Maristar sticker isn't aftermarket, certain years came from the factory with those.
I personally was never a fan of the Maristar stickers. Never made much sense to me to have the model line in big letters and the brand in small. It only works when the model is instantly recognizable Corvette logo, Mustang logo, etc. Maristar never carried that kind of weight with me.

Hello all....Board newbie here...
I have been working on numerous projects on my Maristar 240sc this winter. I am in a similar delima right now of trying to decide if I should remove the vinyl decals on the side while I am in the process of wet sanding the entire hull....part of me wants to keep the retro look...the other half would prefer cleaner lines without the decals....what do ya'll think?
thanks

I have been searching and searching.. to see if anyone has updated the Old School Photo Maristar to something more modern... I am think rub rail down... a color that blends with my top royal blue... then maybe the slash.. different color around the back... Then just a Dip MC Logo on lower rear corners... like alot of the 09 and 10
